Jose Hernandez is a former U.S. NASA Astronaut, motivational speaker, and President/CEO of Tierra Luna Engineering. He is the author of two books, "Reaching for the Stars" and "El Cosechador de Estrellas." His parents were migrant workers who traveled from Central Mexico to California for nine months every year. He grew up helping them pick vegetables from the fields of northern California. His parents stressed the importance of an education and he decided he wanted to become an astronaut when he was ten years old. Today's episode is part 1 of a two-part interview with Jose Hernandez. He shares his word Perseverance and how that has shown up in his life. You'll be inspired, as we were, listening to this man's phenomenal story of going from picking beets to working on the International Space Station.
